This afternoon in the presence of the Chief Minister of the State Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha, the newly constructed world class synthetic turf and football field was formally inaugurated at Sachindranagar Vidyalaya Maidan under Majlishpur Assembly Constituency under the financial support of the State Government and under the supervision of the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports. Sushant Chowdhury, the local MLA and Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs of the state, was present on this occasion.
While speaking, the Chief Minister said that development in the field of sports is one of the priorities of the state government. I firmly believe that this ground will become the focal point of attraction for football lovers in the region.
Mr. Chowdhury while giving his speech said that this synthetic turf and football field have been made according to the instructions of the international football organization FIFA. Our government has been working earnestly to raise the standard of football by awakening football, developing football infrastructure and exploring new talents. To advance the sports sector in the state, the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports of the State Government has given utmost importance to infrastructural development. I thank Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha-ji and Deputy Chief Minister Yishnu Debbarma-ji for providing financial support for the construction of this world class synthetic turf and football field at Sachindranagar.
