All Tripura Madrasa Teachers Association has given a deputation to the Director of Elementary Education with seven point demands. At the end of the deputation they said that the director agreed about their demands and he said if I can fulfill even one of your demands then I will be happy and I will try to fulfill your demands. Besides, they hope that the government will fulfill their demands before the elections. The main main claims are,
1) Tripura SPQEM / SPEMM Madrasah teachers should be provided with all the same facilities as Sarva Shiksha Teachers (SSA) teachers in this state with equal pay.
2) Under the Tripura SPEMM scheme, madrasas including teachers working in 129 madrasas should be brought under Grant-in-Aid.
3) UNDER GRADUATE TEACHERS working in SPEMM Madrasas should be paid the same salary as the regular teaching staff of this state.
4) SPEMM Madrasah teacher should pay 2.25 and 2.57 as announced by the State Government as per the Cabinet decision of the State Government.
5) If a teacher dies or goes on pension while the teachers working in SPEMM Madrasa are in service, then the family of the working teacher will have to pay 25 lakh rupees once.
6) Vacancies in SPEMM / GIA madrasas to be filled up enough teachers to be appointed in the madrasas.
