The long awaited Gitanjali Auditorium was inaugurated today by Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Dev. Inaugurating the auditorium, MP Biplab Kumar Dev said that after the establishment of the new government in the state in 2018, initiatives have been taken to improve Kumarghat subdivision along with the entire state from infrastructure to all aspects. Among the notable developments, Kumarghat subdivision has been connected with modern rail services. The people of the entire district are now enjoying the benefits. Kumarghat railway station is now accessible to the outside world. He also said that it would never have been possible without the blessings of the Narendra Modi-led central government. Note that the number of seats in this air-conditioned auditorium will be 1000. The Department of Works is responsible for the construction.
Speaking at the event, MP Biplab Kumar Deb said that the current government is working as promised. Social allowance has been increased from Rs.300 to Rs.1000 and gradually increased by Rs.1000 to Rs.2000. National highways have been greatly improved. Now you can go from Agartala to Churaibari by road in a very short time. Initiatives have been taken to build a new airport at Kailashahar. He said that through Jal Jeevan Mission, 60 percent of households in the state have been connected to drinking water through pipe lines. By 2024, all homes will be provided with potable water. About 3 lakh 36 thousand houses have been arranged under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. According to the list of 2011, houses have been provided to the beneficiaries. There is no discrimination in providing housing. He also said that houses will be provided to 60 thousand more families in the coming days. MP Biplab Kumar Dev said that the purpose of our government is government for all, work for all. The state government is working on this principle.
Speaking on the occasion, Tapashili Caste Welfare, Animal Resource Development and Labor Minister Bhagwan Chandra Das said that in the last five years there has been one development after another in Kumarghat subdivision. He said that approval of 35 crore rupees has recently been received from the Asian Development Bank for the development of Kumarghat. After Pabiachhara 12th standard school was converted into Vidyajyoti school, a financial sanction of eight and a half crore rupees was received for the development of its infrastructure. He also said that the foundation stone will be laid for the construction of the new building of this school in the next few days. Chairperson of Kumarghat Pur Parishad Biswajit Das presided over the inauguration ceremony. Deputy CEO Saurabh Al Amen delivered the welcome speech. Superintendent Engineer Ratiranjan Das of Works Department was present.
