Dr. Anirudra Basak of Tripura Medical College and Dr. BR Ambedkar Memorial Teaching Hospital performed the successful operation on the seven-day-old baby.
According to the details of the incident, the child was admitted to Dr. BR Ambedkar Medical College in Hapania three days after birth, after which the child was operated on seven days after all the tests.
It is also known that he could not take mother’s milk because of a tumor under his tongue. This may be the first time in Tripura that this operation is done on such a young children’s hospital.
