Two brothers died together while boarding an underground gas line under Oil India Limited Company. The incident took place in the area adjacent to Pathar Kuri Narangi Club in Guwahati. Rakesh Nomo (36) and Utpal Nomo (25) son of Subal namo No. 6 Colony area of Dakshin Charilam Village Panchayat under Bisramganj Police Station; Together the two brothers worked underground gas boarding for Well India Limited Company from Guhati for about two years. On Saturday morning, two brothers were electrocuted while working underground and died on the spot.
Relatives including Rakesh’s parents, wives and children burst into tears. People of the whole area rushed to the house of Subal Namo on hearing the news. This incident cast a shadow of mourning on the entire village. The body, however, did not come home on Saturday.
