On April 19, Minister Sushant Chowdhury met the Hon’ble Minister of Railways and Communications Department Ashwini Vaishnab in New Delhi. The Minister apprised the Minister about some important issues related to the railway communication system of Tripura State. The minister sought his intervention and necessary help to solve them. One of the demands raised before the Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnab was to make a temporary stop for long-distance trains at the Jirania railway station under 10 Majlishpur Assembly Constituency considering the convenience of passengers. Responding to Minister Sushant Chowdhury’s request, the Union Railway Minister made arrangements to halt long-distance trains at Jirania Railway Station for some time for the convenience of common passengers from Saturday. On this occasion, Sushant Chowdhury went to Jirania station on Saturday morning and inspected the stopping and boarding system of a long-distance train at Jirania station and spoke to the passengers. Incidentally, the passengers of the area adjacent to Jirania railway station had to come to Yogendranagar railway station or Agartala railway station. Passengers said that if the train stops at Jirania station from now, it will benefit the common people a lot.
