On the occasion of the upcoming Durga Puja, the government holiday has been made from October 2 to October 10. As a result employees can enjoy additional 5 days leave. Information and Culture Minister Sushant Chowdhury announced this decision of the Cabinet in a press conference at the Secretariat today.
He also informed that a decision has been taken to launch an organic certificate agency at the initiative of the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare in the Cabinet. He said that its main objective is to encourage farmers in organic farming in the state. He further informed that a decision was taken in today’s cabinet to resettle 52 permanent families to set up an integrated check post at Sabrum. The families will be allotted 2.08 acres of land through the revenue department.
