Amirun Bibi (80), a resident of Bhagwannagar, underwent a successful surgery on his right leg thigh hip joint at Unkoti District Hospital in Kailashahar yesterday. The surgery was performed by a medical team including specialist orthopedic surgeons of Unkoti District Hospital. The patient came to the emergency department of the district hospital with severe knee pain. After various tests, the orthopedic doctors of the district hospital confirmed the problem in the hip joint of the woman’s right leg and informed about her knee surgery. Then the family members of the patient decided to undergo the surgery under the supervision of orthopedic surgeons in the district hospital. Yesterday, the medical team including Dr. Nirmal Devavarma, specialist orthopedic surgeon of Unkoti District Hospital, performed a successful surgery on the hip joint of Amirun Bibi’s right leg. Dr. Rupmoy Das was the anesthetist in this surgery. Orthopedic PG Doctor Dr. Ratnadeep Sengupta. Besides, the surgical team consisted of OT staff nurse Manideepa Debvarma, 3 technicians were Nirupam Chakraborty and Jagathari Tripura along with other health workers. Currently, Rogini is under the supervision of doctors at Unkoti District Hospital. The family members of the patient are happy and grateful to the doctors for getting this type of surgery facility at the district hospital.
