On the occasion of National Fisherman’s Day, a workshop was held on July 10 at Jirania Block Auditorium Chairman of Jirania Panchayat Samiti Manju Das inaugurated this workshop organized by Jirania Fisheries Supervisor Office. In the workshop, fisheries supervisor Samir Malla informed that assistance is being given to fishermen through various schemes of the central and state governments. 50 fish farmers from different Gram Panchayats and villages of Jirania block participated in the workshop. In the inaugural programme of the workshop, four fishermen were awarded for their special contribution in the field of fisheries. The guests handed over various fishery products and certificates. In the workshop, the fishermen were trained on advanced fish farming practices using modern technology.
