🚨🧧Development is not possible without electricity: Power Minister

Electricity has played an important role in the development of civilization. Development is not possible without electricity. Therefore, the present govemment is working to keep the electricity supply intact in the state. Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath said this while inaugurating 33 KV sub- station and two-storey control room building at the premises of the Electric Division Complex adjacent to Khowai Block on 7 October, 2023. He said, our state mainly has gas-based power projects. Alterative methods of power production are being considered apprehending exhaustion of the stock of gas and coal in future. The central government is working relentlessly towards this goal.
Power Minister also said that India has planned to generate 5 lakh megawatts of electricity within 2030 with the help of solar energy. Our state has also set a target of generating 500 MW of solar power generation by 2030. He appealed to everyone to extend their cooperation in making Ek Tripura, Shreshtha Tripura. On the occasion, MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury said that with the progress of civilization, the demand for electricity in the state is gradually increasing. He urged everyone not to waste electricity unnecessarily. Sabhadhipati of Khowai Zilla Parishad Joydcb Debbarma said that the present government of the state is working for the welfare of the people of the state.
GM of Tripura Power Transmission Limited Ranjan Debbarma delivered the welcome address on the occasion. Among the distinguished guests present on the occasion were Sahakari Sabhadhipati of Khowai Zilla Parishad Harishankar Pal, Chairperson of Khowai Municipal Council Debashis Nath Sharma, Vice Chairperson Nivas Saha, Vice Chairman of Khowai Panchayat Samiti Tapas Dus and others 8 crore 24 lakhs have been spent on the construction of 33 KV sub-station and two-storey control room building.
