East PS have recovered a stolen bike from Chittaranjan Road area of the capital. Sadar HDPO Ajay Kumar Das said in a press conference today. This operation was led by East Police Station OC Rana Chatterjee. He said the accused’s name is Zahir Uddin. Police claim that he is involved with a large gang of bike thieves in Chorai Bari area, besides this accused is involved in various robberies in the heart of the capital. According to the investigating police sources, he used to commit various incidents of robbery and bike theft with a bike without number. Investigating police sources informed that this accused and his accomplices used to rent houses in Agartala city and neighboring areas, hiding their names, and organized one crime after another. At the same time they used to organize theft and robbery. By interrogating them, several important information can be revealed and many stolen bikes can be recovered by the police.
